Mountain View High volleyball
player Luke Smith wasn't too pleased during warmups as he shanked kill attempt after kill attempt.
But once the match started, he could do no wrong.
Mountain View topped host Amphi 2-0 (25-20, 25-21) in the first round of the Class 4A/5A state tournament last night, thanks
in large part to Smith.
The 6-foot-5 middle blocker-outside hitter had 12 kills and three blocks as the Panthers tried to neutralize his standout
teammate Matt Vanzant.
